Professional singer/songwriter David DiMuzio gives a free singing lesson for beginners & intermediate singers teaching proper DIAPHRAGMATIC SUPPORT, or what a lot of people call "singing from the diaphragm" ...though technically you don't sing "with" your diaphragm it is a very important part of the singing process. ...the diaphragm is both a voluntary and involuntary muscle.
Review
Very good ideas however small semantic suggestion... the lungs fill secondary to diaphragmatic contraction. A subtle difference, but an important one IMO. I.e. the lungs do not displace the diaphragm as suggested in the video; the diaphragm contracts and flattens, causing a negative pressure gradient, and subsequently, the lungs expand to normalize pressure.
I consider not to tell anyone to breath through their nose while singing. If you drop your jaw at the moment of breath, that will open the throat. Please no nose breathing while singing.
